How signing works

  1. Property Owner builds the contract

Choose the property and tenant, pick a template and set rent, deposit, term, payment schedule, conditions and custom terms. Save drafts and send when ready.

  2. Tenant is notified

The tenant receives an email that says only to sign in to review and sign. The email contains no contract link.

  3. Review and sign

After signing in, the tenant reads the contract in the browser, saves a signature and selects Sign and Notify Property Owner.

  4. Record and PDF

The property owner is notified. A signed PDF is generated and stored in the property owner protected folder.

Traceable signatures

Each signature gets a unique 10-digit signature ID printed beneath the signature in the PDF. It links to a record with the contract version and hash, signer, role, time, IP address where appropriate, and device. Versions are preserved and signed contracts cannot be changed silently.

Legal notice

Electronic signatures are not enforceable in the same way in every jurisdiction. The legal notice and requirements are configurable by the platform administrator and RENT MIVIO does not claim that a signed contract is valid everywhere. Check the rules that apply to you.
